Write Links meeting will be held at State Library of Qld in Meeting Room 1B on Saturday 31 August 2024
This will be a hybrid meeting so at the point of booking select ‘in person meeting’ or ‘zoom session’.
If you book for in person then find you can’t come, you can still join via ZOOM with the link sent in the confirmation email.
If you are coming just for the critique session no booking is required.
This is a special workshop meeting so we charge a fee to cover costs of the guest presenter. It will be $25 or for Book Links members $15. To get the discount, add in your members discount code at the point of payment. It was sent to you in the Trybooking confirmation email when you joined.

Kristy Bushnell
Kristy Bushnell is an experienced freelance book editor and mentor specialising in children’s and young adult literature. She has worked with award-winning and bestselling authors and illustrators such as Peter Carnavas, Kate Gordon, Steven Herrick, Tamsin Janu, Lucia Mascuillo, Nova Weetman and Claire Zorn, and publishers such as the University of Queensland Press, Omnibus Books, Allen and Unwin, Scholastic, HarperCollins and Walker Books. She has served as chair and panel member on the Queensland Literary Awards Children’s Book Award and is an alumni of the Australian Publishing Association’s Residential Editorial Program (REP). Kristy has extensive experience in mentoring, structural editing, copy editing, proofreading and assessments, and provides carefully considered and encouraging editorial advice to help authors realise their story’s potential and assist them to meet their publishing dreams.
